Hi!  I'm Becky and one of my many passions is photography.  It's just a hobby for me, though some may call it a slight obsession.  The way I see it, if I can find beauty or fun or discovery, capture it in a digital image, share it, and elicit a smile and a warm feeling on a blue day, then I've accomplished a Good Thing.

Before I purchased my camera, I missed so many beautiful things in the world around us.  Things we're "too busy" to see - flowers, critters, people, landscapes, sure, but it's much more than that.  Before my camera, I never noticed the way the light turns spring pastures a brilliant shade of green as the dark clouds of a spring thunderstorm roll in.  I never noticed the wrinkles around the smiling eyes of someone bursting with joy or the way that dimples give away even a shy smile.  Somehow I'd missed the exquisite textures of nature, found even in a piece of wood or a rock wall, and the delightful blossoms of fruit trees in spring.  

Photography challenges me to look closely at the every day world around me to find something interesting to share with others.  My hope is that you may find joy in my discoveries as well.  Thanks for coming here today, and I hope you enjoy your visit!
